Local Engagement is how our church seeks to be ON MISSION with God in our community and the greater Seattle area by partnering with local organizations. Evergreen supports these organizations by contributing financially and by connecting volunteers.
Mary's Place has a heart to help families who are homeless in a variety of ways. Last year Mary's Place housing and outreach specialists were able to help 650 moms, dads, and children move into stable housing.
Evergreen joined the Back to School drive as we collected new backpacks and school supplies for over 100 children. Evergreen also regularly participates in the Christmas Giving Tree to fulfill the wishes that are written on the tags. We provide gifts for parents to give to their children and for kids to give to moms and dads at their annual Holly Jolly Holiday Party.
The Mission of MUST: to find responsible African American men in college to help spring kids free from the hardest generational cycles of poverty through long-term paid mentoring.
Big Table cares for the restaurant and hospitality industry by building community around shared meals and caring for those in crisis, transition or who may be falling through the cracks of other systems.
Operation Nightwatch reduces the impact of poverty and homelessness, in keeping with Jesus’ teaching to love our neighbors.
