Care Team

The Care Team supports the church family in times of joy, grief and other struggles by providing meals prepared with love. The Care Team for Meals has nearly 30 volunteers. From May 2019 to the end of May 2020, we will have provided more than 138 meals for families adjusting to a new baby, dealing with illnesses, or grieving the loss of a family member.

For Memorials, the Care Team is there to bake cookies, set up beautiful tables, prepare and serve coffee, ice water and punch, and to clean up afterward. This is a way to wrap arms around the grieving family and friends and to give them a welcoming place to meet and share memories with others after the formal service. We assisted at 5 memorials from May 2019 to May 2020.

Throughout the year, phone calls and visits are important to our church family who are home bound, whether for a short time or permanently.
